Moving In

Home / Moving In

At Crown Key Realty, Inc., we want to ensure that moving into one of our managed rental properties is a smooth and stress-free process for our residents. Here’s a sample move-in checklist for a resident in a rental property managed by Crown Key Realty, Inc.:

Sign Lease Agreement

Before moving in, you will need to sign a lease agreement with Crown Key Realty, Inc. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your tenancy, including the rental amount, move-in date, and length of the lease.

Complete Move-In Inspection

Once you’ve signed the lease agreement, you should complete a move-in inspection with one of our agents. During this inspection, we will document the condition of the property and note any existing damages or issues.

Set Up Utilities

You will need to set up utilities, such as electricity and water, in your name. You may need to provide proof of your new address and pay any required deposits.

Make Necessary Repairs

If there are any damages or issues with the property that need to be addressed before you move in, you should coordinate with Crown Key Realty, Inc. to make necessary repairs.

Change Locks

For added security, you may want to change the locks on the property before moving in. You will need to coordinate this with Crown Key Realty, Inc.

Familiarize Yourself with Property Rules

Make sure to familiarize yourself with any property rules or regulations, such as parking restrictions, pet policies, or noise ordinances.

Submit Maintenance Requests

If you notice any issues with the property after you move in, such as a leaky faucet or malfunctioning appliance, you should submit a maintenance request to Crown Key Realty, Inc. through our online portal or by contacting our office.

By following this move-in checklist, you can ensure that your move-in process goes smoothly and that you are fully prepared to enjoy your new home. If you have any questions or concerns about the move-in process, our team is always available to help.
